Terms of Service

Welcome to Affi.link. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Affi.link website, dashboard, and link-redirection service (the "Service"), operated by Affi.link ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure. You're responsible for all activity under your account, including links created by team members you invite into your workspace.

2. The Service

Affi.link lets you create short links ("Smart Links") that redirect visitors to a destination you choose, optionally varying by country, device, browser, language, or other targeting rules. Each plan tier (Free, Creator, Pro, Business) includes a set number of redirects ("clicks") per month and a specific set of features — see our pricing page for current details.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to redirect to, promote, or distribute content that is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or that infringes on someone else's rights. We reserve the right to disable any link or account that violates this section, or that we reasonably believe is being used for spam, phishing, malware distribution, or abuse of our infrastructure.

4. Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, via Stripe. Usage beyond your plan's included clicks or team seats may be billed automatically as described on your Plan & Billing page, if you've enabled that option. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account; see our Help Center for details on how billing changes take effect.

5. Partner Program

If you join our affiliate Partner Program, your participation is additionally governed by the Partner Program Terms, which cover commission rates, payouts, and program-specific rules.

6. Account deletion and what happens to your links

This section explains exactly what happens when you delete your Affi.link account, since links you've created may already be shared publicly — on websites, in videos, in social media posts, or anywhere else — and continue to matter to other people even after you're no longer using the Service.

6.1 — Immediate effects. The moment you delete your account: you are signed out and can no longer log in; any active paid subscription is cancelled immediately, with no further charges; and every Smart Link you own immediately stops redirecting. Anyone who subsequently visits one of your links sees a plain "This link is no longer active" notice instead of being redirected or shown an error.

6.2 — A 30-day retention period. Your account and its associated data are retained, not immediately erased, for 30 days following deletion. This exists solely as a safety margin in case you deleted your account unintentionally — during this window, contact support if you need help. We cannot guarantee recovery of an account once this period has elapsed.

6.3 — Permanent erasure, with one exception. After the 30-day period, we permanently delete your account data: profile information, custom domains, categories, Amazon affiliate ID configuration, billing and invoice history, API access tokens and logs, and Partner Program records.

Your links are the one exception. We do not delete a link's short code (its unique identifier in a URL like go.affi.link/abc123), and we never reissue it to a different Affi.link customer, indefinitely. Instead, the link record is stripped of your personal and account data (destination URL, images, categorization) and permanently retired — visitors who click it will continue to see the "This link is no longer active" notice described in §6.1, for as long as that link exists anywhere on the internet.

6.4 — Why we do this. If a retired short code could later be reassigned to someone else's new link, a link you shared once — in a video, a blog post, a printed flyer — could eventually start redirecting to a completely different, unrelated destination without any warning to the people who click it, potentially years after you stopped using the Service. We consider that an unacceptable outcome for anyone who ever trusted one of your links. Permanently retiring the short code instead means a visitor is, at worst, told the link is no longer active — never silently redirected somewhere its original owner never intended.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it, including what happens to it after an account deletion described in §6.

8. Intellectual property

The Affi.link name, logo, and Service are our property. You retain all rights to the destination content and branding you link to.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of redirects and are not responsible for the content of destination pages you link to. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
