You can delete your account from Profile → Delete Account. Here's exactly what happens, and when.
Right away
- You're signed out and can't log back in.
- Any active subscription is cancelled immediately — you won't be billed again.
- Every Smart Link you own stops redirecting immediately. Anyone who clicks one — from a link you've already shared on a website, in a video, or on social media — sees a simple "This link is no longer active" page instead of an error or a broken page.
For the next 30 days
Your account and its data are kept, not immediately erased — mainly as a safety net in case you deleted it by mistake. If that happens, contact support as soon as possible; recovering an account after this window closes isn't possible.
After 30 days
Everything account-specific is permanently erased: your custom domains, categories, Amazon affiliate IDs, billing history, API access, and Partner Program data.
Your links are the one exception. They're never deleted or reassigned — each link's short code is permanently retired the moment your account is deleted, and can never be reissued to a different affi.link customer. This is deliberate: it guarantees a link you shared once, years ago, can never later start pointing somewhere controlled by a stranger. Visitors will simply keep seeing the same "account closed" page for as long as that link exists on the internet.
Why we don't just delete the links too: doing so would eventually free up the short code to be handed to someone else's brand-new link — meaning an old link from your YouTube video or blog post could start redirecting to a completely different, unrelated business without warning. Keeping the short code permanently retired instead protects everyone who ever clicked your links, even after you're gone.
