Your affiliate tags are what let affi.link automatically build a correct, working affiliate URL for you — instead of you constructing Amazon links by hand for every country you sell into.
Adding a tag
- Go to Affiliates in your account menu.
- Choose the program (e.g. Amazon) and the country it applies to.
- Enter your tracking tag for that program/country combination.
You can add one tag per program/country pair. Once a tag is saved, any feature that builds affiliate links for you — like Amazon localization — will use it automatically.
If you sell into multiple Amazon marketplaces (e.g. amazon.com and amazon.co.uk), add a separate tag for each one so visitors always see a link carrying your correct tag for that country.
Replacing a tag on your existing links
Amazon Associates tags can expire or be replaced when you open a new account. To move over:
- Go to Affiliates and type your new tag over the old one.
- Next to the field you'll see how many of your links use the current tag. Leave also switch these links ticked.
- Click Save.
Affi.link replaces the old tag with the new one in every link for that marketplace, including links in the trash, targeting rules, A/B test variants and Choice Page options. Only the tag= value changes; the rest of each URL is left exactly as it was. Links to other marketplaces, other tags, and other retailers are never touched. Untick the box if you only want to change the saved tag for links you create from now on.
