Deep linking

Send mobile visitors straight into the app, not the browser.

Opening the Amazon app…
Not installed? You'll land on the mobile site instead.

App checkout is faster and more familiar than mobile web — already logged in, saved payment details, no extra taps to get there. Every bit of friction removed between a click and a purchase is a sale you keep instead of a visitor who gives up halfway through.

How it works

Turn deep linking on for a link, and a mobile visitor on Android is sent straight into the retailer's own app — Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and a handful of others we recognize — instead of their mobile browser, whenever that app is actually installed on their device. If it isn't installed, they land on the mobile site instead, so nobody ever sees a broken link.

Good to know

Deep linking is currently Android-only — iOS doesn't offer an equivalent mechanism a link can reliably use on its own. It also has real limits inside in-app browsers like Instagram or TikTok's, which don't always allow apps to open directly regardless of what a link tries to do. Available on Pro and up.
